| What is Reiki ? |

Reiki, a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy, is the energy which surrounds at all times. Reiki is an ancient healing art which focuses this natural energy. It was Shiva who brought Reiki to our world to be used by everyone. It was taught to the children of Mu, the ancient civilisation which later became India and Tibet. Although once a major part of ancient culture, the art of Reiki had been lost for many years. |

Gautama Buddha, who lived 563 - 483 BC, used Reiki to heal hundreds of people, as did Jesus, who was a Buddhist adept and a Reiki healer, practising the art in the purist form. To Buddhists, healing is not only physical but spiritual, healing the mind and emotions also. Reiki was rediscovered and brought to the modern world in the 1800's by Dr. Mikao Usui. Dr Usui's system has been refined and perfected during the last 160 yrs and can be taught to almost anyone by a skilled practitioner. Only very basic equipment is needed to practice the Art. The healing system is non-invasive, and can even be non-contact - although most Reiki practitioners prefer some person-to-person association with recipients of treatment. 'Contact' Reiki involves no massage, just simple hand positions without disturbance of clothing.

Reiki treatments
Individual Reiki treatment is available on a one-to-one basis, whether in person or remotely, to assist with healing in a range of conditions. How much ? Reiki is not a profit-making occupation. It was never intended to be, and no one has ever become rich by practising Reiki. However in our world it is necessary to meet day-to-day expenses - therefore a charge of £30 per session is made. Yet it is appreciated that even this may stretch a Reiki recipient's individual recipient's financial circumstances, and no-one is ever turned away - at those times, donations are invited. How many treatments are necessary ? There is no strict rule, but a "typical" Reiki healing may consist of 3-4 treatments, 7-14 days apart. In many cases, for minor ailments a single Reiki healing session is sufficient. |

Many people are drawn to Reiki but are unable
to spare the time nor meet the costs of weekend attunements and courses.
To enable more people to experience the empowerment of a Reiki attunement,
prices are kept to a minimum, and tuition is given at times to suit the
individual.
The Reiki courses offered cater for each person as an individual, which is why they are taught on a one to one or small group basis. So much more ground can be covered in a much shorter time. Not only is Reiki covered, but other subjects of spirituality which are important to each individual. Because of this no two workshops are ever the same. After the course, I am always available to answer any queries, and like to keep in touch with my students to monitor their progress and encourage their growth. |
What happens during an attunement? |

After a Reiki attunement your body realigns itself to the new energy. The energy transmutes any energy blocks, working through each of the seven chakras in turn. This process can take around a month to complete.
Reiki
I
These initial attunements raise your energies, begin the cleansing process,
and develop your spiritual awareness. Your auric field will strengthen,
empowering you to heal yourself and others. The first degree introduces you
to the hand positions for healing and the first Reiki symbol. You will receive
relevant course notes, your first attunements and certificate. * Reiki I - £95 * Reiki II Reiki II raises your energies even higher. Psychic senses are often awakened and spiritual connections are enhanced. You are attuned to two more symbols for Emotional and Mental healing, and Distant healing through space and time. Again you will receive a certificate. * Reiki II - £95 *
For some students, Reiki I & II can now be taken together. * Reiki I & II - £150 *
Reiki
Master
The Reiki Master Attunement is a very powerful, beautiful and peaceful attunement, raising your vibrational energy and Reiki skills to an advanced level. Your new symbols will enable you to give your recipients a very deep level of Spirit healing and will also empower you to teach, attune and certificate others, if you wish. You will receive your Masters Certificate. The Reiki Master Level tuition includes the following subjects:
The Reiki Masters attunement The Master degree Reiki attunement will raise your vibrational frequencies even higher, bringing even greater changes in consciousness. Your connections with your Higher Self will strengthen and become more natural. It will open you up to channel a Spiritual level of Reiki energy. Again, as after the Reiki I and Reiki II attunements, the 21-day clearing cycle is activated and all your major chakras, and many of your minor chakras are cleansed, enabling you to channel even more energy. The clearing process is experienced differently between people, and differently from the first two attunements. Some may experience a continuation of the physical cleansing or the release of old negative emotional patterns that were not totally cleared after the first two attunements. However, by the time you come to take the Reiki Master attunement, your life will have changed considerably to accommodate your new Reiki path and you may feel completely cleansed of all negative conditioning. You may have no reaction whatsoever to the attunement, or, you may notice that your life will turn around and you will have to make great changes to your life. Although it is said that when you become a healer all karmic ties will be removed, you may find that some karmic ties may still have to be fulfilled, and at a quicker rate in order to release you from their ties. This can often be emotionally draining, hard work, and even traumatic in event, but they will soon pass and you will feel totally relieved and refreshed. Advanced Practitioners Level
Reiju Empowerments In Autumn of 1999 something new arrived in the world of Western Reiki: Reiju empowerments. They were introduced to the world by Hiroshi Doi, a member of the ‘Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai’, the Usui Memorial Society, and student of former ‘Gakkai president, Mrs. Kimiko Koyama. Mr. Doi’s Reiju was a reconstruction of the empowerments used in the memorial society during his ‘Gakkai training. During a period of meditation the students of ‘Gakkai would regularly receive Reiju, which greatly increased their ability to channel Reiki. Mr. Doi’s reconstruction of the Reiju empowerment is similar to a Reiju ritual used by Usui Sensei’s surviving students, a Tendai Buddhist blessing ritual that was brought to the west by their contact, Chris March. It is this ritual that is taught in the Advanced Reiki teachings. The meaning of the word ‘Reiju’ means: ‘Accepting the Spirituality’ or ‘Giving the Spirituality’. It has also been translated as: ‘Giving of the Five Blessings’ or ‘the Five Powers’. As a spiritually advanced master, Mikao Usui was able to transfer Reiju by intension alone, as a Blessing of ‘the Five Powers’.
Benefits of the Reiju Empowerments: The Reiju ritual can be used to replace the First Degree, Second Degree or Master level Reiki attunements, however, using them both together enhances and amplifies the energy beautifully. If used alone, Reiju empowerments are equal to the attunements in terms of ‘connecting’ students to the energy. Receiving ‘Reiju’ connects the student to Reiki energy far more efficiently than traditional attunements. They become more sensitive to energy and are able to work more effectively on an intuitive level. In addition, Reiju empowerments produce their own special benefits, which you will discover when you embark on this intriguing course. Reiju is not just a mini-attunement, it is a ‘spiritual empowerment’. It ‘connects’ the student to Reiki and continually enforces that connection, increasing the strength of the students Reiki. The student can continue to develop that enhanced connection by practicing on a daily basis. Receiving Reiju empowerments on a regular basis enhances ones spiritual development and self-healing, helping them to work more efficiently on an intuitive level.
Correspondence Courses
** Reiki correspondence courses are aimed at those who are unable to attend Reiki workshops.** The comprehensive Reiki notes relating to each level are sent out once payment has been received. Once all the notes have been worked through, and the set questions answered and returned, a time will be arranged for when the Reiki Attunement can be given distantly, which has proven to be most successful. To benefit from the Attunement you will need to enter a meditation for about 10 - 15 minutes. During this time you will be attuned to the Reiki energies, directed from myself as a Reiki Master, and carried out in spirit by the Reiki guides and masters. On completion of the course and attunement a certificate will be sent to you.

The cost of the Reiki Correspondence courses, levels I or II, are now only £80 each. This is to be paid at the time of registration, or it can be split into two payments, the 1st of £45 with enrolment and the 2nd of £35 when your answers are returned prior to your attunement. Students comments on the distant attunement... `It worked! It was an amazing feeling, I was meditating and drew the symbol and the feeling that came to me was great.
